What We Collect
GemSnap processes crystal photos you upload solely for identification purposes. Images are sent to our AI provider for analysis and are not stored permanently on our servers. We do not require account creation or collect personal information beyond what is necessary for payment processing.
Local Storage
Your crystal collection, scan history, and preferences are stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it. Clearing your browser data will remove this information.
Payments
Subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use GemSnap. This collects anonymous usage data such as page views and device type. No personally identifiable information is tracked.
Third Parties
We use OpenAI's API for crystal identification. Uploaded images are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's data usage policies apply to this processing. We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.
